Many graduates of Roger Williams University have brought extraordinary credit to their alma mater through both professional and personal achievements. The accomplishments of our alumni significantly benefit both society and our campus, advancing the common good and inspiring others to address challenges with insight and creativity. Their actions communicate the dynamic excellence of a Roger Williams education and the importance of service as one of our core values.
To recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni, the Roger Williams Alumni Association has re-established the Alumni Awards program. The awards will be presented at the Dinner Dance on Saturday night of Alumni Weekend, June 8-10, 2012.
We need your help to identify individuals who fit the criteria for the awards described below. Or perhaps you do! If so, please tell us more.
Nominations for these awards should include a statement justifying the individual’s candidacy and any other supporting documentation describing career highlights, honors and awards, publications and/or media coverage. Nominees for all awards must have completed a minimum of a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree at Roger Williams University or College; or an Associate’s degree from Roger Williams Junior College.
Alumni award recipients are selected by the Awards Committee which consists of at least five members of the Alumni Association appointed annually by the President. The Committee has the privilege of consultation with members of the Alumni Association and the faculty, but are free to act independently. Alumni award winners will be announced on the alumni webpage and will be listed in the RWU Magazine. All winners must be present to receive their award on Saturday evening June 9, 2012.
